I had such a great time on Saturday with my friends. We drove up to Los Angeles in the morning and stopped to get our McDonalds 69 cent sodas. We stopped at the Disneyland exit to go to McDonalds and found that there is no such deal. Figures!
We got to LA and all of us had to go to the bathroom so we ate at Pinkberry's, a yogurt shop. It was pretty yummy. I had an original yogurt with fresh strawberries and almonds.
The play was amazing. Great acting and singing. The storyline was so good and had a good message! I went to the play with my friends Lisa Ryan, Annelise Ryan, and Melinda Harward. We loved being away from the kids for a day and enjoying beverly Hills and Hollywood. I don't even remember the last time I went to LA.
Anywho, after the play I tried to get pictures with the cast, but of course they didn't come out. We went to a matinee and I guess they don't come out very often if they have a show that night as well. So on to the next adventure.
We decided to stop at Sprinkles, the hot spot for cupcakes in Beverly Hills. We got there 30 minutes later (because of traffic) and there was a 45 minute wait in line to get cupcakes. NOT WORTH IT! (you can order them online).
Sooooooo we made reservations at a place called Ketchup (a hot spot in LA and was in the show The Hills). It was really good! We ordered appetizers which were 3 different kind of fries with 5 different kinds of ketchup flavors. We also ordered onion rings-yum! I ordered BBQ chicken with potatoes and corn.
After that we stoppped at a Gelatto cafe and had some coconut and original gelatto which was so yummy! We then headed home and saw the paparratzi on the streets. I tried to backtrack and follow them, but it was too late. We lost them!
All in all we had a really fun day! I was exhausted by the time I got home, but I had such a fun time!

Jed's First Day of Speech Class

Today we went to Jed's 1st speech class and he made a dog called "Spot". He is working on all the words beginning with "sp." We reveiw the words each day. He really enjoyed working with his teacher "Miss Debz." I was informed that the other two speech teachers' names are Debbie and Deborah. Thought that was funny.

Mommy and Me Day

I took Jed to Disneyland, just the two of us. We had such a great time. Jed was only 39 1/2 inches tall (including shoes) and of course I wanted him to go on all the 40 inch rides so I added some shoe inserts and what do you know....He got on all the rides.
We went on Splash Mtn, Thunder Mtn, Space Mtn, Star Tours, Soaring over California, and of course, Tower of Tower. I know I over did it with that ride. He did NOT like it. Of course I kind of knew that he wouldn't, but I was selfish and wanted to go on it so I dragged him along.
We were finished by 7:00pm and left the park to go home. It was a nice, but long day! It was nice to spend some one on one time with Jed.

Jed and Gymnastics

Today we went to Jed's gymnastics class. This is a really great class for your child to take if they need to release some extra energy. Jed loves this class that is only once a week. There are about 8-10 kids in his class and they do various skills on the trampoline, bars, balance beam, and on the floor. I had to sign Jed up for another 6 week session. He takes from the YMCA right across the street. How convenient is that?

Jazzercise

Let's go Jazzercise! I have not been in over a month, but thought that I must go back or I am going to turn into a whale! Seriously, I need to get back into excercise mode. I am happy that I can go back to Jazzercise after being in Utah and not having one. Time to get my workout shoes on!

Sea World

Today we went to Sea World for a few hours. It was hot, but there was a nice breeze! We went to the Shamu Show "Believe", the Sesame Street 4D Show, the pet show, and Jed went and played for a bit at the Bay of Play area.

We came home and decided to rest. Besides, Heaven needed a nap. She was ready to go home and fell asleep almost instantly in the car on the way home.

Labor Day with the Ryans

On Monday we went to South Torrey Pines Beach with the Ryans. We were supposed to go boating at San Vicente but the boat was not working so well. Jamey and Mike went to take a look at it after leaving San Vicente (and having slept on the boat the night before) and found that it was working after all.

We still had a fun day at the beach! The kids had a great time boogie boarding, playing in the sand, and eating. (That's Heaven-she loves to eat!)

It was a long day for the guys. They were tired so Lisa and I let the guys take the kids for the night and we ended up seeing a movie.

Leelou Blog

THANK YOU to Leelou Blogs who helped me make my blog so cute and up to date. I can't keep up with these moms who have time to create such fancy blog layouts. Leelou Blogs is a site where you can go to download FREE blog layouts! I was searching on SugarDoodle.net and happened to come across this site. Please check it out if you are wanting a "cute" blog layout. This site also allows you to download any type of LDS Church logos as well. Pretty cool!

There is a link to Leelou Blog to the left of my blog. Enjoy!!!

Disneyland Adventure

Today we went to Disneyland and it was about 100 degrees. (or at least if felt like that). I think the weather pretty much affected all of us. Heaven was NOT going to take a nap, Jed wouldn't stop whining, and I couldn't stop from raising my voice-my patience was about gone today!

On a more positive note, the park was not crowded at all. So nice! Overall, we did have a nice time and the kids enjoyed Disneyland, too! That's what matters most, right?
